We are March 12, 2019 and it's my birthday !! I was a little depressed to be away from family and friends, had to find a way to make this day a little different from others.
I would not have waited long, my family offered me for the occasion, two tickets to Universal Studio in Singapore! Thank you so much!
Let's go for a day of sensation and madness!
Quick overview of Universal Studio
Universal Studio is a large amusement park with 7 universes that are:
- New York
- Hollywood
- The lost world or Jurassic World
- Ancient Egypt with the film The Mummy
- Far away, the world of Shrek
- Madagasar
- Sci-fi City especially with the Transformers
Of course each universe has its own attractions, sensations or not, restaurants and famous shops where you want to buy everything.
Hollywood
This is the first world in which the park begins. There are basically shops and restaurants and only one attraction: Pantage Hollywood Theater.

Shows in the streets also take place during the day, especially with singers and dancers.

New York
It was Steven Spielberg who welcomed us for the attraction named Lights, Camera, Action! Steven Spielberg was on video of course, it would have been too good! I highly recommend this attraction, for young and old. You simply attend the realization of special effects that can occur on the real filming locations. Everything is very well worked, you feel like really attending a film shoot! Guaranteed sensations!
Sci-Fi City
I think this is the universe I preferred at the level of thrills! There are two incredible rollercoasters. Nothing to do with what Disneyland offers. To do absolutely, you are squarely in the void!
One important thing that Universal Studio has thought about and that is very popular are the lockers to put your stuff (bags, caps, glasses, camera ...). You can not enter certain attractions if you have not put your stuff. I assure you, the lockers are free for 30 to 45 minutes. Which gave us time to do 3 times the attractions.
By cons, exceeded the time that is offered to you, it becomes paying. So you have the choice between, pay attention to time or pay if you are afraid of not arriving in time. That said, you can get your stuff back after 30 minutes, and give it back a few minutes later;)
All done digitally, there is no key, they just need your borrows to open the lockers. Very convenient!
Sci-Fi City is the Transformers with Transformers: The Ride. This is a 3D animation in which you are shaken in all directions! I think it's the best 3D animation I've done so far, everything seemed to be real!
Ancient Egypt
My mother would have been crazy about this universe because she is passionate about Egypt. Sincerely the decorations are amazing, as well as every detail! At the level atmosphere, staging and decoration, this is my favorite universe! I leave you judge by yourself with the following photos and video.
On this video above, this is the entrance to the Revenge of the Mummy attraction. Like all the rest of the outdoor decor, the interior is very well done, and the attraction itself and a real treat!
Just behind the large statues, you also have lockers to put your belongings during the attraction.
There is a second attraction in the ancient Egyptian, Treasures Hunters. We did not do it because there were a few people. The theme did not inspire us more than that. From what we have seen, it's a drive. Are there any additional surprises on the course? I do not know, I'll let you discover this if you go there!
The lost World
Welcome to Jurassic Park!
You are totally immersed in the world of dinosaurs. Children who like to play with will be served, especially since the statues are life-size. Regarding attractions, there is something for all ages (unlike Sci-Fi City for example).
One of the family attractions is to settle in big buoys and let yourself be carried by the river. A nice walk to discover dinosaurs. Small tips: hang in there and plan a spare business!
Animations are also organized in the park, especially around the heroes of Jurassic World, the velociraptors. Watch out, not for the faint-hearted! No I'm kidding!!
Far Far Away
It's the world of Shrek and the donkey! Not to mention Fiona of course.
You enter a small village where you are totally impregnated with the enchanted universe of the green ogre and his friends.
It's impossible not to see King Frog's castle, his wife and Fiona. You can go in, it's an attraction, Shrek 4-D Adventure!
It is in Far Far away that we took our little snack because with your entry you can have a treat (cookies, donut ...) or a drink of a certain value.
Madagascar
Last world to discover, that of Madagascar. You have the impression of being on vacation just by hearing rhythmic music! Of course, you find all the characters of the film Madagascar.
We have made only one attraction in this world. It made us think of the Disneyland Dollhouse because the principle is the same. You settle in a small boat and you cross a tunnel with staged characters.
In 4:00 we had time to make the vast majority of attractions and take the time to discover the scenery. It was an exceptional birthday! I was in Singapore at Universal Studio! This will certainly not be the case next year ... I took advantage of every moment. Again thank you family for this gift! Thanks also to our couchsurfing who offered me a cake and a candle to blow my little extra year;)
